Confidence. Discipline. Persistence. Personal Growth. Sucess. Six life skills learned. Sixty-one students from across the region making beautiful music together! The Coastal Youth Symphony of Georgia, which is celebrating its fifth year in 2010, is an affiliate organization of the Coastal Symphony of Georgia, which is 27 years old. The Youth symphony is a partner with the Glynn County School System, and shares musicians with the Glynn Academy High School and the Glynn Arts Impact Middle School orchestras, all three of which are conducted by Ms. Sandie Goldie. Our mission is to inspire in our youth the appreciation for classical music, cultivate their musical abilities, and provide a path to performance excellence for these diverse, talented youths in Glynn and surrounding counties. Through participation in the Coastal Youth Symphony of Georgia and outreach programs, we seek to introduce a new generation of musicians to the classical music repertoire.
